The Park Maintenance Technician/Equipment Operator performs a variety of semi-skilled and manual tasks to ensure park grounds, facilities, and infrastructure remain safe, clean, and aethetically pleasing for public use. This role involves the operation of light-to-heavy equipment and is responsible for day-to-day upkeep and routine repairs. This position reports directly to the Turner Falls Maintenance Lead for an indefinite term. This position has shared responsibility to assist and help guide both seasonal and part-time staff.

FULL TIME FIRE CHIEF

(Starting pay based on qualifications)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading a fire department comprised of 25 volunteer firefighters. The City currently has a fire insurance rating of 3/3Y. The chief oversees and participates in fire prevention, fire suppression, training, and emergency response of volunteer staff, as well as administrative duties for the department. Work is conducted in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards; federal and state fire, building and mechanical codes, laws and regulations; local ordinances and departmental policies and procedures that benefit the community under policies established by the City of Davis. The chief reports directly to the City Manager.
